New Seven Wonders of the World
In 2001 an initiative was started by Swiss Corporation New Open World Corporation (NOWC) to choose the new seven wonders of the world from a selection of 200 existing monuments for profit. Twenty-one finalists were announced January 1, 2006. The results were announced on July 7, 2007 which is as follows:
